Cannot open an embedded MS doc in SM Solar02

We uploaded an MS doc into SM Solar02. This MS doc file ( like a container) has some other embedded ( or attched ) MS doc files.

We can open and display the "container" MS doc file, but we CANNOT open or display the embedded MS doc files by double

click the MS doc file icons. We have tried many ways but all failed

Could you inform us whether there is a way to fix this problem?

Hi C Z,

I think this is a limitation of MS Word and not Solution Manager.

Please open the document in change mode and try and access the attached/embedded.

You should be able, as the MS Word Document should not be in protect mode. When in display mode, the document is protected and set to read only.

You can see this is a word setting, by going to Tools > Protect Document and change to read only. You won't be able to access the attachments/embedded documents either. So if you have Word Documents with attachements/embedded files, the work around is to view them in change mode and not display mode.
