Hi Akin,

It's look like your Kernel upgrade is unsucessful, you have to also change the kernel files in /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<system number>/exe

Do the same and check the new kernel version in SM51.

Ramesh.

hi Ramesh

thanks for your reply

I did it like you said it is ok now

but normally is this procedure have to be automatically via sapcpe ?

ı mean sapcpe has to copy new kernel files from sapmnt (global directory) to instance directory (usr/sap.....) when sap starts...

but it doesnt work ?

Hi Akin,

I was also passed with same problem, especially in Kernel release 701, I got this problem at first time.

So I changed my procedure, by replacing files in instance directory also.

Anyways, it's good to know that your problem has been resolved.

Regards,

Ramesh.

Hello Akin,

Ensure you are using latest version as of note #1237316.

Check if your directories structure are configured according to note 1104735.

What the errors want to say it as follows:

if the user id of the source file is 0 and the uid of sapcpe is not 0, SAPCPE will not copy the file.

This look like a problem with the links in between /usr/sap/<sid>/SYS/exe/run and /sapmnt/<sid>/exe

under /usr/sap/<sid>/SYS/exe this should be linked with /sapmnt/<sid>/exe

Example,

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root system <date> run -> /sapmnt/<sid>/exe

You can use the ln command to link the again... then sapcpe should be able to move the files across

hi Juan

I have checked whether link availbale you described but it is ok

so below the /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe folder there are exist links :

run->/usr/sap/......../exe/dbg

dbg->/sapmnt/SID/exe

ı inspected sapcpe.log before

Odd... is this an application server or the CI?... because sometimes when /sapmnt/SID/exe is a nfs mount you need to unmount and remount...

Ok. Try getting the lastest version of sapcpe.

Also, did you decompress the data with <sid>adm and set the right permissons to the files on the kernel?
