"CO-doc. number assignment not possible for bus.trans. COIN in CO area 1001

Hello Viewers,

I am getting the below mentioned error while posting the FI transactions.

Diagnosis

In controlling area 1111, business transaction COIN has not been assigned to a number range.

System Response

CO document numbers cannot be issued.

Procedure

Maintain the number range for CO documents in controlling area 1111. Then in the implementation guide (IMG), choose Controlling -> General Controlling -> Organization -> Maintain Number Ranges for CO Documents.

Assign business transaction COIN to a number range group. If required, create a new number range group."

But I have tried this in the above path (KANK) but there is no group uroup and business transactions.

Is there any program to display the group and business transactions?

Hi ,

Kindly execute the transaction KANK and click on overview button ( Shift + F7 ) .

There you can find the different number ranges that are being assigned to diffrent business transactions .

COIN is assigned to primary postings to Co from FI .

Hope this suffices the purpose .

Hi Aswin,

Let me answer your question.

The scenario what you are describing occurs sometimes when certain transactions are missing in number range maintenance for the CO  document. They do not appear in the list of elements assignable to the number range groups.

How can you address:

• First: Run Transaction Code - OKC1 to see all the list of business transactions related to controlling.
• Second: You should check Table - TKA04 to see if Business Transaction - COIN and all other exist in the Table for the respective controlling area.
• Third: If not done you need to generate the missing entries and to do that you can execute Program - RKTKA04C which will help to create the missing entries.

You should be okie once these are done.

Or if you want quickly to solve this issue and you already have some other existing CO area so yo can just simply copy all setting and assignments.
