Greetings,
I have a requirement to give developers access to 'SAP NetWeaver Administrator' (NWA), but the problem is that I am having troubles doing this without giving them administrator access for portals.
I have tried assigning them to the default ROLES, but they are unable to log on and get the following error message: ' You do not have the appropriate authorization to use NetWeaver Administrator; contact your system administrator '
DEFAULT ROLES:
SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_LOCAL
● SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_LOCAL_READONLY
● SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_CENTRAL
● SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_CENTRAL_READONLY
Please let me know if there is a way to give our developers access to NWA for reading LOGS.

Hi,
is a way to give our developers access to NWA for reading LOGS.
For checking the logs in NWA , the role SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_LOCAL_READONLY is enough .
Only provide the above role to users and check what error they get. Once they get authorization error , login to OS of java system and check Default.trc file.
Thanks
Anil

Hi John,
You can assign read only access to the developes for accessing 'SAP NetWeaver Administrator' (NWA),
● SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_LOCAL_READONLY
OR
● SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_CENTRAL_READONLY
They cannot modify anything in NWA with readonly access and can access logs properly.
Hope it helps
Regards
Arun
