Message ID accuracy

Hi,

what is the possibility of message id consistency between two SAP system?

This means, incase any message is sent through any net weaver systems to XI via proxy, will the message id received in XI be same as sender system? and in the same way what about in vice versa case?

Hi Yadagir,

Message id is the unique 32 digit(ex: 13A313C0569311DFA32100306EEAC205) that will be generated by PI Server. As i know it is not according to sender system. When sender system sends some message to PI Server, PI Server create one unique message id(This will never be duplicate) when it receive into PI System.

Hi,

If one message send from ECC to XI system or XI system to XI system then message id will be same in the both cases.

In our landscape we send data from our system to another XI system of Client then message id were same in both systems.

Message id gets generated in sender system and same id followed in the receiver system.

Hi,

If you are using proxy for the connection between ECC to XI then message id will be same.
