Hi,
We have solman 7.0 EHP1 and BI 7.0 EHP1 with oracle DB.
I am trying to include the BI system in SMSY.
I registered the system under SAP Netweaver-->EHP1 for SAP Netweaver 7.0.
Provided the installation number.
I clicked the Instances tab and selected Business Intelligence and BI java.
Generated successful RFCs and created logical components.
Now i am able to see the system in Mopz.
When i checked back in SMSY, under Landscape components>Systems>Sap Solution manager, the BI system is present!!
I want to know whether the configurations i did are correct and why the BI system is under solman category?
Answers will be helpful and any link/guide for configurin all type of systems under SMSY is much appreciated.
Thanks
Nanda

Thanks guys.
Those informations were useful.
But we dont have an SLD and hence cant do the automatic data sync as u mentioned, so anyother guides on step by step configuration is welcomed.
Also i need the answer for "why the BI system is listed under solman".
thanks & regards

Hi Nanda,
As you do not have SLD , you can configure with the Tcode SMSY manually as you did .
Anyway, if it is appearing under solution manager in SMSY, might be added in wrong location while you added. You can remove it and add it under Netweaver , BI system again . I would suggest you to configure SLD and it would be usable very much in future also .

Hello,
If you don't have an SLD, the 'Data source' of the BI system should read 'Manual'. If the data source is not manual then perhaps looking at the SMSY update logs would help.
If the data source is manual, the cause of the wrong placement of the BI system is human error.

Hi Nanda,
What you have done is correct in one way.
But its always better to update the SMSY using SLD only.
For your BI system you can have SLD bridging as per below link
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwesrce/helpdata/en/43/da21ba13660aa5e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
Once this is done you can follow this to sync the data from SLD to SMSY
