Addition of new 2007 MS application

Hi,

I have included MS office 2007 docx , xlsx, etc file types in DMS , I have added these file extensions in SPRO-> Cross applications components -> Document Management -> General data -> Define Work station applications. In field "File format", I included *.docx, *.xlsx, *pptx, etc. But seems that these are now reflected in EasyDMS.

In suffix field, I insert doc, xls, ppt for 2007 MS applications. Do i need to insert dox, xlx, in suffix field?

or is there any configuration that also needs to be done?

Hi Ravindra,

I have not put any on the MIM type field.

do I also need to fill out that field?

May I know what values do I need to input for dox, ppx, xlx, mpx, etc.?

Hello,

Could you explain how define only one Appllication for all Word type files (.doc *.dot .docx .dotx) Your proposal of 1 MIME by MS extension is not possible for end user too many application and it's only 3 digits for define Application, now MS have 4.

Hi Angelo,

based on your description please see the SAP note 1289314 which I think could be useful for you scenario. In the field suffix please made sure that a correct value is maintained. Because normally this value will be used as extension for the local copy which is created when you display an original in DMS.

I suffix please keep dox,xlx,ppx and also check the mime types are defined appropriately.
