I know I found the answer to this before, but right now I have no clue how to do...
After upgrade of solman and installation of new diagnosticagents, I've old agents named "SMD" in my SLD view from Root cause an.
How can I remove these entrys? I've uninstalled the clients from the managedsystems and installed new agents with different names, but the old ones are still there.
Please advice!
Hello Carl-Johan,
You can delete old agents from the SLD here:
> SLD--- Administration --- Content Maintenance --- In the field subset, select "All with instances" ---Class - Diagnostic Agent Instance --- Select the entry for the obsolete agent and then remove the agent entry"
I do hope you find this information helpful.

Paul

Hi my friend
1. Go to SLD, remove the old agent from standalone technical systems;
2. Go to http://<hostname>:80<nn>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ags_workcenter?WORKCENTER=DIAGNAV_MAIN_COMP&sap-client... (make sure service is activated in SICF) --> Agent Administration --> Remove offline entries, if it's still online that means you didn't properly uninstall the agent by SAPinst;
3. Run program RSGET_SMSY to fetch landscape data to sync up the latest change.
Your points are very welcome if this is helpful )
