Hi Maheshwaran,

Looks like there are some inconsistent entries in the

Registry. Probably that why the formatting also didn't

help. Please check note 572836 for cleaning the registry.

Also please check the contents of sapinst and sdbinst log

files in the ..\program file\sapinst_dir\..

Hi,

I read SAP Note 572836 and i extracted the sar file and i got the cleanup.exe from it.

but, that exe looks for any MAXDB instances in my computer and there is no MAXDB instance in my computer so it reported no instances found.:(

Anyway i tried installing another time and it reported same 3 error messages as i said before.

Any ideas about the error messages.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi all,

Dear Luciana,

you reported the same problem in the SAP message 598493/2006. This case was discussed with you by phone

& you confirmed, that your problem was solved. Correct?

Please avoid the manualy deletion of the database/liveCache software. Please use the MAXDB/liveCache tool SDBUNINST for that, SAP note 599129.

Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina

Hi Maheswaran,

You gone really hard at your PC. It is never recommended you delete registry entries manually and to delete mmc files. Your system might become unstable/crash at anytime.

Proper formating with NTFS and step by step installation would solve your problem.

Hi all,

I tried to install the Setup in another PC instead of a Laptop.

The PC is very new and it do not have any sap softwares installed on it.

But the same error was thrown!!!

I really do not know whether the problem exists either in my PC/Laptop or Setup files.

Any ideas!!!

Thanks & Regards,

Hi all,

I downloaded the Sneak Preview Again from SDN.

Before installing the Sneak Preview

1. Uninstalled the order versions.

2. Removed all the Users that were created by the setup

3. Remove sapinst directory

4. Cleared the registry with name SAP

5. Removed the usr folder and NSPDB folder

6. Deleted all the mmc*.exe in the system32 and windows directory.

Now there are no problems...

It passed the eighth step...

I thinks the problem is with the setup i am using.

Any way thanks for all of you who have spend their useful time for helping me out to solve this problem.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi

Please follow the the pre-requsite

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 1) or Windows Server 2003

2)NTFS-File systems

3)Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher or Firefox 1.0 or higher

4)At least 1 GB RAM & 13 GB hard disk space recommended

5)Sun Microsystems J2SE SDK version 1.4.2_08 (Sun JDK 1.5 not tested)

6)If you have already installed SAP products on your computer, you must ensure that none of the systems are called "NSP".

7)The file C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\services (Windows 2000) or C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\services (Windows XP) must not include an entry for the ports 3201, 3601 and 50000 to 50030. A possible entry can be excluded by using the hash symbol (#).

ensure that you have system admin acess and install on localhost.

even i had to struggle many times with it and even now i am struggline with it.Do u have two network connections?

Try disabling it .Just a suggestion.

Mine worked after format....

It clearly shows some reg entries are there or some services r still running'

Let the seniors give next steps ...

George

Check INSTPRT whether it gives clue abt the errors..
