Dear all,
As i am new to this project here i am facing different issues. Here development is not maintaining. Every time our abapers asking to transport program from dev to prod for testing purpose.
As i need to set this process. i am planning to create new client in dev and export full client data from prod to dev.
So by exporting in scc8 ... sap_all profile will it copy full client?
My full data base size in production system is 80 gb..
So before doing client export i need to suspend all jobs using BTCTRNS1.
After client export using BTCTRNS2 I can unsuspend all jobs
Is this procedure right is any thing else there i have to look
In some of the threads i read that it is not recommended to client export from prod to dev... But i have no option
Please suggest me
Regards
Shashi
Hi,
Here development is not maintaining. Every time our abapers asking to transport program from dev to prod for testing purpose.
It seems you have 2 system landscape only , ok so you can go ahead with client copy.
Which all data you are looking for in DEV(Master data?,transactiondata? or only customizing)
Depending upon your need you can choose available profile.
May be you can have look at this
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/en/99/0a2a887e2511d2a6250000e82deaaa/content.htm
For procedure:
1. Run SCC8
2. Select Profile for desired copy type (Usually All [SAP_ALL] or user master only [SAP_USER].
3. Select target System
4. De- Select "Test Run" (If selected)
5. Run Export Up to 3 requests are created, depending on the data selected and available:
6. Monitor scc3(Need 1/10 space for export file usually)
Client Import:
1. Create client (scc4)
2. Login to client (sap* - pass)
3. Manually add "O" transport then "X" then "T" to TMS buffer
4. After Import is complete perform "post processing steps" from client tool (SCC7)
