QM Doubt

Hi,

When system check the QM view of MM ,at the time of creating scheduling agreement or at the time of doing GR(MIGO)?

i have found one sceenario where on particular date QM was not activated for one material.after that they created sched. agreemt. Now when they are doing GR stock going to Unrestricted and this is fine.

After this QM view was activated for the material and they created new scheduling agreemt for the same material but with differen vendor.at present QM is not activated for the material.

now when they are doing GR for the 2nd sched. agreemt stock going to quality.

Customer want stock in Unrestricted bcoz they are saying presently QM is not activated for the material so stock must be in Unrestricted.

plz give some suggestion on this.

Thanks

Palas

In MIGO the values comes from the schedule aggrement only.QM is checked during the Sch aggr only.

After this QM view was activated for the material and they created new scheduling agreemt for the same material but with differen vendor.at present QM is not activated for the material.

This statment is confusing.

Actually is QM view is activated during/before the sch aggr then it has to come to QI .( provided that post to inspection is active in QM view)

Even if you deactivate afterwords it will be in QI for that sch aggr.

as said by Shekhar Mokashi material will go to quality even though quality view is not active as this point of time.

but there is a way out for this, u can create q info record and set "No inspection " in inspection control.

then material will move to unrestricted.

try

Hi Yogini,

what is the use of quality info record when scheduling agreement was made long time ago?do you think if i set no inspection for the vendor ,the system will read the quality info record data at the time of MIGO???

Hi,

When system check the QM view of MM ,at the time of creating scheduling agreement or at the time of doing GR(MIGO)?

System checks QM activation at creation of PO or scheduling agreement. If you activate procurement key then system will ask for Quality info record, if you active inspection setup then stock posted to quality.

After this QM view was activated for the material and they created new scheduling agreemt for the same material but with differen vendor.

Stocks will be posted to quality as result of activating QM, since you remove insp setup lot will not be generated but stock will be posted to quality, clear it with MB1B >> 321 movement.

at present QM is not activated for the material.

now when they are doing GR for the 2nd sched. agreemt stock going to quality.

Since you activated QM while making that agreement, stock will be posted to quality even if you deactivate QM later. Clear with MB1B >> 321 MOVEMENT.

Customer want stock in Unrestricted bcoz they are saying presently QM is not activated for the material so stock must be in Unrestricted.

Tell customer that since they activated QM for some time this is going to happen, since they remove the QM activation lot will not be generated but for that particular agreements stocks will be posted to Quality and you have to clear it as said.
