Hi SLcM contributors,

Currently I am conducting an 'investigation' in the usage of the BW extractors that are delivered for SAP Student Lifecycle Management.

I would like to know where the 'SLCM-BW' community is seeing gaps in the now delivered standard SLcM-BW extractors.

Gaps that are related of course to the standard SAP SLcM system and data (so no customer specific data fields and no localization data fields), for example; a particular field on the SC-object (Program of Study).

An additive: are there any SLcM-BW customers that are using the Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable BW extractors for SLcM finance reporting?

(Reports like: open items, cleared items, collection items, installment plan data, administration, etc).

Try to find out this with somebody in British Council as they are using BW reports for extraction of such reports.

Hello Rob,

I am currently working on a full SLCM BW implementation (or I should say I am almost done working). Some of the things that we missed that were not delivered extractor and we had to do custom design were:

1.) There is no information in BW about Student's External achievements - we designed customer extractor to pull Transcripts and test scores information.

2.) Custom Extractors to pull Status and Hold information about Student record

3.) Special Booking Authorization information on student file (Stuednt gets a permit to register for course)

4.) Student's Advisor Information

5.) Student's Athletic Information

6.) Student's Visa status and the visa related details.

These are some of the things that I could think of right now, there are a few more that we had to design to make reporting logical from an end user perspective.

Another question:

- Which front-end reporting tools are your using? The BW ones or (also) BO (Business Objects)?

- How do you report on student financials?
