Use of First possible date in SNP heuristics

Hi,

Can you tell me what is the use of first possible date settings in SNP heuristics under Global SNP settings in customizing?

More imp, How does it determine the first possible date ?

Hi,

Out of the two options 1. First Possible Date and 2. Backword scheduling , normally we use the 2nd option.

These options are like scheduling options in MRP of backward or forward scheduling.

u2018First possible date optionu2019

System carries out foreward scheduling . Adds lead times ( from TL / PPMs) to say todayu2019s date (or earliest working day from today) and calculates available date.

On the other hand in the other option u201Cbackward schedulingu201D will take the required delivery date and taking into consideration lead times, calculate start date .
