Does any table in the Universe Designer has to be joined?

Hi forum, I have a Simple question: Does any table in the Universe Designer has to joined? I have a query in Webi but I don't understand why it makes a data filtering, so I'm wondering if in the Universe has to have all the tables joined in order to have the data.

If you are creating your universe not on the top of SAP query but on some database then you have to join the tables and specify the type of joins in order to get right data.

Thanks Bashid, but I'm using the SAP tables. I have an issue with the Materials and the Sales tables, because i don't know for certain that if i have to link them in order to get all the materials (Sold and not sold) in a Webi report.

Do i have to link them?

You are probably going against the Database directly, bypassing Bex, Infocube. If that is the case - and if you need all the data from the table, just bring the entire table into the Universe Designer and pull the objects in the WEBI report.

This would not be a recommended way of fetching data though from SAP.
