Hi all,
We've managed to set up QM sample management so the system automatically creates physical samples, prints labels for these samples, and in WM even post the samples to a separate bin from the remaining inspection lot quantity (yeah!).
However, samples are physically stored outside the warehouse and here's the problem: the UD still posts the samples to IM unrestricted stock and it becomes available for MRP and ATP - which could be a problem if we're almost out of stock.
So, we're looking for a way to have the system post the sample quantity to IM reserved stock automatically. Example: when making the UD you see in the movement tab: Insp lot size 10 pcs, samples 2 -> when approving we want the system to automatically move 2 to reserved stock and 8 to unrestricted stock.
Thanks,
Elt
Usually you set up a special storage location and then define that in the QM config as the default storage location for posting sample stock.
The storage location is then made not-relevant for ATP and MRP.

Hi,
I am not sure about you exavt requirement.but just I think if you want system should prapose 2 QTY to as sample qty then in MIC control indicator keep destructive check box on.
& also sample size give 2 QTY.
So when you will give UD in stock posting tab system will prapose 2 QTy against sample & 8 Qty against unrestricted.
If you automatic stock posting then when you create Code ( Which is you are using in selection set T Code QS51 ) in posting praposal give auatmatic UD .
So that when you will give UD system will autamatically post 8 Qty to unrestricred & 2 Qty to sample.
