SecStore.key change manually

hi, experts

I did system copy throut restore and recovery changed SID from PRD EP

so I want to connect config tool for change SID and hostname

but I can`t because SecStore.key is wrong...

how can I change SecStore.key manually??

Follow the Step 2 of SAP Note 757692 - Changing the hostname for J2EE Engine 6.40/7.0 installation for chaging the hostname and SID in secure store,

hi Anil,

I checked SAP Note 757692

in this note, config tool must connect to Database and then change hostname and SID.

but I can`t connect db with configtool because of secure store file..

I want to correct secure store file to changed hostname and SID..

Hi Jun,

in this note, config tool must connect to Database and then change hostname and SID.

it is not neccesary that for changing the hostname and SID , your configtool should connect to database.

Do the following step for resolving your problem.

1. Call Configtool.

2. it will prompt you for yes or no to connect the database.

3. click on yes , it will give u some error.

4. click on OK

5. now your are in configtool where you will see only SECURE STORE option.

6. click on secure store option.

7. now on right side you all get all details .

8. Select 1 by 1 and make neccesary changes.

Once the changes are done save it and restart the database and configtool.
