Generates NULL node in ICF service during runtime - EXCEPTION CX_WD_GENERAL

Hi All,

We have created an WebDynpro component XYZ, this component URL has been configured in EP. When we created WD4A component, its generated URL as /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/XYZ/ ; but during an execution in some scenarios; it generates URL as /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/XYZ/null.

Due to that, its giving exception as CX_WD_GENERAL.

Kindly please suggest on this case.

Chris,

We are not able to simulate this case. Its happening in our production system. So, its quite difficult to predict the scenarios.

I would like to know more info about pros & cons on this situation.

Pros and Cons? Of what situation? You haven't described your scenario that creates this problem at all. There is absolutely not enough information here to make any kind of comment.

We have developed an component of Foreign Travel Request (Employee who visit outside india) and Domestic Travel Request (who travels within india). Based on type, he/she creates an Travel request and it go for approval, based on approval Travel team will issue an bus/flight ticket etc....

After you have returned back from your travel, you have to do settlement for that trip. While doing settlement for particular trip; it generates an exception.

I hope that, I have narrated little bit about my scenario.......
