Error: Exception occured during extractSingleFile: invalid entry CRC

Hi gurus,

I am getting following error when I am trying to istall 'SAP ERP 2005 support release2' IDES in my laptop.

I am getting error in the 39 th step of the installation.

I have checked the disk size it still has enough space for istallation.

I assume the error is because of some corrupted sca file...it is correct then which sca is file is corrupted in the above mentioned error.

From where I need to download the corresponding sca file.

It would be of great help if some one gives the fix for the issue.

Hi Kiran,

Yes, it is definitely a case of corrupt .SCA file. It looks like the file in question is "C:\Personal\ECC6.0\ECC6.0_IDES\BS2005\J2EE_OSINDEP\UT_ERP\SAPESS06_0.sca" as it was the last file scanned by SAPInst before the error message came up.

You need to extract that specific DVD again containing BS2005 folder. Maybe the file got corrupted during the extraction itself and you did not notice.

Try extracting that DVD again and if that too fails, download the DVD from service marketplace again and then try. After this, see if you can start the installation from the beginning using the newly extracted media.
