Solman error during EHP4: Wrong input data Component Vector is empty

Hello experts,

Need your help on an issue we're encountering with our EHP4 upgrade using solution manager. We are connecting our ERP system to Solution Manager to be able to perform EHP4 upgrade in the ERP system. In the steps where we are using Maintenance Optimizer to connect to the ERP system and calculate the patches, we are getting the following errors:

- System component <SID> (type ABAP) is not defined

- Wrong input data Component Vector is empty

Our SolMan system was just upgraded to the latest patch level (SolMan 7.0 EHP1) while the ERP system is ECC 6. Can you please advise how to proceed? We have stuck with this error for 3 days already and despite applying some OSS notes and redoing our configuration, we still receive the same error. Hope you can provide some insights as we really need to perform the EHP4 upgrade within this week.

Thanks!

Hi,

Have you configured your system in SMSY ? If yes, have you register it as a product version ERP 6.0 ?

Thanks

Yes, we have completed the configuration required in SMSY following the procedure indicated in the document How to Install SAP Enhancement Pack 4 for ERP6.0 from SAP. The ERP system is also registered as ERP 6.0 product version. However, despite that, we continue to get this error.

Any ideas? Are there additional configurations we need to perform or OSS notes that we can refer to?

Hello,

To make sure that the system is correctly defined in SMSY please check 1344564.

If your system is on SP22 please implement 1415315. I think that the errors you posted belong to SP22.

Best regards,
