BR0545W Database reset logs ID not found BR0013W No offline redo log file

Hello colleagues,

We had been carrying out archives backup through brarchive without problems, after upgrading from oracle 9.2.0.7 to 10.2.0.4. We get the following entry in the brarchive protocols.

BR0545W Database reset logs ID not found

BR0013W No offline redo log files found for processing

BR0280I BRARCHIVE time stamp: 2010-04-26 12.01.43

Please could you point us? We have tried to rename archSID.log, without sucess the integration is through Data protector but the problem seems to be something related to the tool.

The initSID.sap is exactly in the same way it was before and the only thing we notice is different is the name of the archives generated wich has changed because of the parameetr in 10.2.0.4

log_archive_format string %t_%s_%r.dbf

Best regards and thanks for support

Hi,

did you reconfigure your dataprotector client configuration?

When doing this, you need to specify the valid ORACLE_HOME to

the DP-client configuration on the DP-Server.

May be due to this DP is pointing somewhere old (920_64)?

And therefore DP is reading 920_64/dbs/initSID.sap

920_64/dbs/initSID.ora and therfore doing wrong calculations.

Hi Enrique José Marcos,

After the upgrade have you applied the intreme patches and you need 830576 to check the note for oracle 10G parameter recommendations.

Please check the parameter

log_archive_dest_1 string LOCATION=/oracle/SID/oraarch/SIDarch

this has to change as per the note 830576

also try to rename the bacSID.log which is located under /oracle/SID/saparch directory and then try to take backup.

Thanks,

Chaitanya

Thank you very much,

I have changed the destination parameter , alter system switch log file, ran a new brarchive and still the problem came up.

It seems like it can be determined de last aprt of the archive name (wich is determined for reset log id) _%r.dbf

Before the log archive name was the same without this reset log ID and everything worked fine.
