Hi,

in SRM when attaching documents to a PO line item for example, there is a "thick" to set the document as internal. Do you know if there is a possibility to set that "thick" as default when we are attaching a document?

Hi there,

This was reply given by development.

Note 1133602 has been created for SRM 6 and above.

We checked the issue with our development about note 1133602 and found the note can note be downported to SRM 5.0

because if it is marked as internal by default in the past we faced

some problem during approval process.

In SRM 5.0 as per the standard system behavior,the Internal Flag is not

set by default, the advantages on this is as below :

1.The attachment by default always sents to vendor during

PO output (which is usually wishes by vendors).

2.During approval, this flag helps in triggering new workflow

if there is a attachment set change. If this flag is set as

internal no new workflow gets triggered for att set change

and this will mislead the customers.

Due to these reasons we are sorry to inform you the note can not be

downported to SRM 5.0, and it is standard behavior the internal will

not be set as default.

Maybe the DOC_CHANGE_BADI might help if you need it?
