Error while installing SAP NetWeaver 7

Hi,

I am getting the below message when i am trying to install the SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5 - Developer Edition.

Running msiexec failed with return code 1603: Fatal error during installation.

Commandline was msiexec.exe /norestart /L sapmmcX86u.log /i sapmmcX86u.msi /qn

If you want the installer to retry, choose Yes. If you want the installer to abort the installation, choose No.

Please help me to resolve this error.

Have you updated and applied all the patches on the windows OS ? What is the version of Windows OS on which you are trying to run the installer.

Hi,

Are you installing it as an ADMINISTRATOR user ?

What is your OS ?

Try installing it as an Administrator not as user with Administrative rights...

seems to be a permission issue ...

Yes i am installing it as Administrator, But my OS is of Windows 7

I am doubtful whether it support Windows 7 or not...

Please check the below link for "System Requirement". It says it support Windows XP or Windows 2003 server (32bit).

You can give it a try on Windows 7 (32bit edition)
