SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE failed for BRBACKUP - Reason: program_start_error

Dear Gurus,

I installed SAP ERP 6 on distributed systems (DB Instance on SAPPRDDB and Central Instance on SAPPRDAP1).

When I ran brbackup from db13 on SAPPRDAP1, it found error as below. What's wrong?

Hi,

Goto SM59 and check RFC

SAPXPG_DBDEST_<DBHOSTNAME>

is working or not.

Did you installed GAteway instance in DBhost or not ?

If no , then you have to installed the gateway instance , this is necessary for above to work .

As in the above RFC we provide the gateway details which we install in DBhost.

Hi Anil,

It had error for connection test in SM59 for RFC SAPXPG_DBDEST_SAPPRDDB on SAPPRDAP1.

Please refer the Note 927508 - Standalone Gateway Installation based on NW 7.0(2004s) which will help you in installing the gateway instance.
