Ides Instalation ecc6.0

Hi Gurus,

Now i need to instal ides ecc6.0 on win 2003 server

for instaling ides does it ask solution manager key... if so how to skip that one

Becoz in my company solution manager is not configured.

How to handle this one.. please suggest me

Hello Shashi,

What do you mean by solution manager not configured ?? from this i understand that you are hacing solution manager in your company but are not using it.

if you are having any solution manager installed then you can use it. for generating solution manager key you only need to fill very basic entries first for registering your system and then generating the key.

SAP NOTE 811923 Generating the SAP Solution Manager key.

Skipping this phase will not be possible.

if you do not have any solution manager then raise a OSS message to SAP under component XX-SER-SMKEY with the details and your concern. Possibly they will provide you the solution manager key.

Thanks for ur response.

previously solution Manager is there but due to some hardware problem that system is down.

i have to instal it again but presently system is not available it takes some time.

Now i need to instal ides.. How i can handle this..

can u please tell me how to raise oss message to SAP under component XX-SER-SMKEY

you can find documentation there for how to send customer message

Kindly follow below link

Select your system -->give search item >select component->continue

On next page it will ask for messgae severtiy give medium.

Finaly press Send to SAP or SAVE . First SAVE then send to sap .
