Hiding "Categorisation" in Folder in cFolders

Hi,

We have implemented cFolders 4.5. While Creating Folders, users select the "Categorisation" as IPPE extract by mistake and it changes the entire folder structure. Is it possible to hide the "Categorisation" field or Remove the "IPPE Extract" entry from list.

Kindly suggest.

Hi Prasanna,

generally, there is no possibility to delete a category from a folder. The only chance you have is that you copy your data into a new folder and delete the wrongly created folder (with the catagory).

In order to hide the "Categorization" field, you can go to the Collaboration Overview > Additional Functions > Categories > deselect all and the drop-down field for "Categorizationu201D will no longer appear.

If you just want to hide the option "iPPE Extract", then again go to the Collaboration Overview > Additional Functions > Categories > deselect the "iPPE Extract" category.

But this has to be done in each collaboration.

If you want to disable the option "iPPE Extractu201D in general, you will have to delete the corresponding XML file, namely IPPEEXTRACT.XML. For this, open transaction SE80 > BSP Application cfx_gen_obj_typ > 'MIMES' > ObjectCategories and delete the file IPPEEXTRACT.XML.
