Dear All,
I have installed SAP ECC 6.0 now i want to upgrade it to EHP4
for that EHP1 is a must.
When i try to install EHP1 from SAPinst using following options
--> SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 1 Support Release 1
--> SAP Application Server Java
--> Oracle
--> Central system
it gives me error message
SAP system is an ABAP or ABAP+Java system. Cannot convert this to a Java standalone system.
i have installed both ABAP Stack & java stack.
How can i resolve this issue.
One more query
I am Planning to install EHP1 then i will Install EHP4 using SAPehpi.
is this the correct way.
can someone help me with some usefull link about EHP1 & EHP4 installation steps .
Thanks in advance,
Gaurav Sood

I think you misunderstood that.
EHP4 means that EHP4 is installed for the applications (such as SAP_APPL) and the basis parts (SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA) are upgrade to EHP1 at the same time.
So you don't install EHP1 separately.
To upgrade your system you have to use Solution Manager and the SAPehpi tool to install. A very good step-by-step guide is available at
http://service.sap.com/ehp-inst
--> SAP enhancement package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0
Read here the "How to install SAP Enhancement Package 4 guide"
