com.sap.security.core.ume.service error.
Password logon no longer possible
Edited by: Sathya Kala Veeraraj on Apr 23, 2010 2:32 AM
Thanks for everyone who has replied to this query.
The issue doesn't get solved. Some files are missing it seems. So thought of reinstalling the server.

Hi,
Please refer SAP Note 741289 - Profile parameters of the J2EE Engine are lost
Thanks,

Hello Sathya,
The error message "W:Unknown parameter ..." can be ignored. This message is only a warning and it says the parameter is/are not defined in the kernel itself and so the check can't be performed.
However, if we focus on the main issue - password logon not possible please make sure of the following things:
a) SAPJSF : should be unlocked, password should be the same in ABAP/UME settings
SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION should be assigned to this user. Make sure the profile for this particular role is generated
2)J2EE_ADMIN should be unlocked and the password at ABAP level as well as in secure store from java side should be the same. Make sure you have assigned sap_j2ee_admin role to this user
3)J2EE_GUEST should be unlocked assigned sap_j2ee_guest
however, the MOST important thing is, please use each of these to logon to R/3 directly and ensure you are not prompted to change the password @ first logon. Most of the times, these users are unlocked and the passwords are reset correctly @ both ends but the user is expecting the password reset @ first logon and so the j2ee core service fails to start. To check this please logon using each user and see if you are prompted to change the password. If so, change it and set the new password on j2ee side.
Also, restart both ABAP+J2EE together and if you still face any issues, please also paste the entire exception from defaultrace corresponding to this failure/error.
Hope the above helps.
Regards,
Snehal Bhaidasna

i think because of the above issue, the j2ee parameters are not set. The missing j2ee parameters leads to stopping of j2ee server.
Please give me some suggestion to solve the issue.
