How to: MDM Integration with SRM

Hi MDM Exerts,

I would like to know how to integrate MDM with SRM. I have installed MDM 7.1/Catalog 3. I would like to SRM & MDM to be connected to each other.

Hello All,

I have done the installation of SAP Netweaver MDM 7.1 as a central system in Windows Server 2012 and DB being MS SQL server 2012.Please help in configuring connection with SAP SRM system.

Hi Afi,

You need to install MDM Server, MDM Import Server (if you want to automate the data import), MDM Console, MDM Data Manager, MDM Import Manager and MDM CLIX (if you want to use command line interface for most

operational MDM Console commands).

You have to unarchive the repository provided by SAP (.a2a file).

Deploy SRM-MDM Catalog Search UI and Config UI components to connect MDM server to SRM through portal. Once you deploy those components, test the connectivity to validate that you have installed correct component versions. Major issues come if you are not using proper versions.

You can replicate Currency, Product Group & ISO codes through tcode MDMGX without need of XI. If you want to replicate other data from SRM/ERP, you need to install XI components.
