instance starting with profile of another instance

Hi,

For PRD we have 2 host for load balancing.On 1st CI+DB & aaplication instance,on 2nd 2 application instances[D01 & DVEBMGS00].The instance DVEBMGS00 on 2nd host while starting taking the profile of instance on 1st host.But when checked in RZ03 it's not started. Here is th RZ03 screeshot.

Server Name Services Status Configuration alerts

sapp3p01_P3P_00 DVEBMGS Active

sapp3p02_P3P_00 Not active

sapp3p02_P3P_01 DS Active Work processes differ

Kindly suggest to start the instance.

Hi Sam,

Just for my clearance:

Host A contains the database + sapp3p01_P3P_00

Host B contains sapp3p02_P3P_00 and sapp3p02_P3P_01

Instance sapp3p02_P3P_00 on host B is not starting. Correct?

What do you see in the startup log and work directory of this instance?

What u said is correct

in startsap.log & all stderr

Command: ms.sapP3P_DVEBMGS00

pf=/usr/sap/P3P/SYS/profile/ P3P_DVEBMGS00_sapp3p01 ......... instance on 1st host

Actually,1st time when I tried to start the instance there were no log,data,work directore existing for the instance.

Kindly suggest to fix up the issue.

What you are posting now, is the log of the central instance. Can you post the startup log of instance sapp3p02_P3P_00. And what command do you execute when starting these dialog instances?

startsap D00 ; startsap D01 ?

Hi Sam,

Now I'm getting confused... I thought that the startup op the central instance did not have any problem. But that there was a problem with one of the dialog instances. You are now posting the log of the central instance, which is starting correctly.

Please clarify.

Hi Mark,

I have posted startsap logs of the stopped instance from host B.The CI doesn't have any issue & is running OK.

The logs posted are of today's.Thats what the issue with instances.The instance on 2nd host taking instance profile from 1st host.

If u see logs from 1st line it shows correct startup profile,but wrong instance profile.
