Hi,
This is more of a theoritical question. In CTM we have RBATP, which can be used for product substituion and FFF using interchangibilty master data. Why dosent the heuristic and optimizer of SNP provide the same functionality ? Is it due to some tool limitation or it is because the kind of businesses which use the heuristcs and optimizer do not need rules based ATP combined with their sourcing tools ? I know that FFF and supersession can be used in optmizer and heuristics, but rules based substituion cannot like how it can be used in CTM.
Thanks
GS
Hi,
Optimizer and Hueristic cannot support Rules Based Substitutiion because the planning is not order based. Since the requirements/demands are bucketed there is no way to tie a rule strategy to an order type which is a prerequisite to configure RBATP.
Hope that helps.

Mohan
