SAP-APO inbound PO document type required

Hi Team,

We have requirement where we want to use the Document type of PO to perform some action on PO data.

We have used Exit : EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLCIF_PU_001 to work on this, but document type of the PO is not available in APO system current structure /SAPAPO/CIF_PU_DOC . But this field is available in PO structure in SAP r/3 side . Please guide how can I get the value of BSART from PO in APO system? What settings needs to be done at R3 or APO side.

Hi Rajwant,

You have user exit EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLCIF_PU_001 in APO, but it does not have PO document type, based on which, you want to carry out some actions on PO data.

Since document type of PO is only availble in ERP , one way would be to maintain a Z table in APO with the PO document type and the related required data. You need to check entries in this table to determine the PO doucment type.

Since PO document types are not changed so frequently, there will be less maintenance required for this table.

You need to update the table initially and then maintain as per need.

Please check and confirm.
