Hi All,
I have done all the steps necessary for alert as per Michaels blogs:

(The client is in PI 7.0 SP 16 and hence some steps are not relvant and have not been done). I have also gone through the notes 824039 and 870232.
When I create a erroneous scenario in mapping, I don't receive any alerts in my inbox. Although all the attributes for Alert rule are marked as *.
After finding out different things, I tried to manually execute SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET (which is marked as obsolete) using TCode SE38, then the alerts were created and I was able to receive it in the Alert inbox of the fixed recepients.
So I am not sure what is going wrong and what is needed to receive the alerts to Alert Inbox. I will appreciate if somebody can help.

Do you see the alert in tr. ALRTDISP?
If not, the application does not generate the alerts.

Check whether the SMTP server that is responsible to send emails is registered in SCOT. reach out to BASIS team
