Upgrade ECC 6.0 to EHP4 from Cd's available

Dear All,

I have installed a new System with ECC 6.0 now i want to upgrade it to EHP4

I have got the following CD's With Me

EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0 / NW 7.01 - 51033594

EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0 - 51037095

SAP EHP1 SR1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 - 51037093

Can i upgrade from these cd using SPAM / Saint.

Hi,

Just to add to Eric's reply, make sure you are up to date with you Sp's on Solman 7.0

Component ST is important as this will add the necesary information to pick up the EHP's 1,2,3,4

when selecting in the Maintenance Optimizer when generating the XML file..

Dear All,

I have installed SAP ECC 6.0 now i want to upgrade it to EHP4

for that EHP1 is a must.

When i try to install EHP1 from SAPinst using following options

--> SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 1 Support Release 1

--> SAP Application Server Java

--> Oracle

--> Central system

it gives me error message

SAP system is an ABAP or ABAP+Java system. Cannot convert this to a Java standalone system

.

i have installed both ABAP Stack & java stack.

How can i resolve this issue.

One more query

I am Planning to install EHP1 then i will Install EHP4 using SAPehpi.

is this the correct way.

can someone help me with some usefull link about EHP1 & EHP4 installation steps .

Hi,

You cannot install EHP's with Sapinst.

You need to use the Ehpi installer.

Go straight to EHp4..

=> Installations and Upgrades => My company's application and componets => SAP ERP Enhancement packages.

Also pay attention to what Eric & I advised earlier with Solution Manager.

it is possible ot install EHP1-NW using SAINT. But if you want to insall EHP4-ERP, you need to do this with EHPI... and EHPI will install EHP1-NW at the same time.

so, use EPHI to install both EHP1-NW and EHP4-ERP in one step. This is the way that SAP recommends this.

I went for the site but it says due to some technical reason SAP Ehp installer 7.0 is not available on site.

Can we use EHPI without solman??

you will need Solman to do these:

1. you will need to confirm files in the download basket

2. you will need to create an XML file that contains the file of support packs to be installed

so, you have no choice but using SolMan.

Dear Gaurav,

SAP Ehp installer 7.0 is available on site I checked with my ID.

Go to option search for support packages & Patches & search for these files which you required.

SAPehpi_25-10005805.SAR --> For AIX

SAPehpi_25-10005807.SAR --> for Windows
