BW 3.5 / 7.0 Upgrade Impact on BOBJ OLAP Universe

Guys,

We upgraded BW 3.5 TO 7.O and BOBJ 3.1 with SP2 fix pack 2.5. We have several issues

1. The existing universes pointing to BW 3.5 wroking fine. but the moment we start pointing to BW 7.0 after that

1. View Refresh Structure giving handfull of issues

2. Check Integrity is also giving lot of parse issues.

2. If we managed to create a new Bex in BW 7.0 at Infoview report level the prompts never come-up and keep on running.

Infact its not exectuing.

RIght now all our development is stopped can any body focus on this and advise further.

Initially we were not seeing any new query;s from BW 7.0 then we installed the new patch on BW and now we see the neq querys.

Hi Pat,

first of all - in case this is a production system I would suggest you open a message with support as this is a forum and you have no guranteed response time here.

You mentioned that you point the Universe from BW 3.5 to BI 7 - could you provide more details here ?

Are the BW 3.5 and BI 7 two separate systems ?

You stated that you have migrated all objects in 3.5 to 7 and there is no issue on the back end side.

Issue is only with Universe and afterwards.

Update your GUI and then open your queries using new GUI710 and then save the query. Once you save query in 7 you won't be able to open it in 3.5 to work with.

After that you should not have any issues with universe.
