GUI disconnection after a short network interruption

Hello,

is it normal that the SAP GUI (6.40) disconnects all the sessions when there is a network interruption ?

We can test it by pulling the network cable for 3 seconds.

Is there a parameter to allow a delay before dropping the connection ? at the GUI level on at the SAP level ?

In our company, we use mobile devices to connect to SAP (warehouse, ...) and get frequent disconnections due to some intermittent loss of wifi connection.

Thanks in advance

Any resolution on this? How have folks used mobile devices with SAP GUI in areas where there are network disconnections (due to limited WIFI connections)? Thanks.

This is the behaviour of SAPgui, I am not aware of any setting for a delay.

Do you mean this is a normal behaviour of the SAP GUI to drop all the sessions as soon as there is a samll network disconnection ?

We do not have the same with other applications like Lotus Notes that support temporary network problems.

It would be possible to insert a delay, but is there a setting for that ?

Regards

André
