Hello Friends,

I am working in a industry which completely manufacture make to order. Every time customer asks the materials of different grades. He provides lower and upper limit values that should be maintained in the process.

I want to capture these values by results recording.

If I maintain lower and upper limits in insp. char. , I need to change it every time. If I maintained it in classsification view of material master, and created MIC with reference to class, then also I need to change it every time in material master.

Can I maintain the lower and upper limit in batch and then copy them in inspection lot results recording?

How to map such scenario in the system?

Please help me.

Regards,

Kiran

In make to order, the specifications are maintained and created in the order. You use the batch class to create your general spec. When the sales order is taken, you can edit the specs in the sales order. When the inspection lot is then generated, the specs should come from the sales order provided you have "var config" clicked on in inspection type set up for the material.
