Acknowledgement not possible in Idoc messages

Dear All,

We have an idoc scenario in which idoc is coming from R# system to PI and going to another external PI system.

In our PI ssyetm we are getting an Ack status as "still waiting for acknowledgement". but in the otherside PI it is showing ack status as "Acknowledgement not possible ". what does it means ? kindly help.

Hi Pradeep,

In PI there is an option to choose whether you need acknowledge or not. As per your scenario, in first PI that option is enabled but in other it's disabled.

Go to se16> IDXNOALE table>check entry for the sender port and the client and the idoc for which you need acknowledgement ot not.

Go to se38-->Run IDX_NOALE program and provide the sender port and client and idoc in second PI. Then in upper side there are options request acknowldegement and Do not request acknowldgement. You can choose any of them as per your need.

After execution you can find an entry in IDXNOALE table. Set these parameters in both PI similarly.

Execute IDX_NOALE program enter sender port and client and idoc.

Select Request acknowldegement or Do not request acknowldgement as per the requirement.
