Restricting Long Text field in CRM Interaction Centre from Editing

Hi,

Is it possible to restrict the long Text field (component =ICCMP_BP_DETAIL, View =BuPaLongTexts) from being edited in IDENTITY ACCOUNT-More Fileds page of Webclient (interaction centre), through authorisations?

If so, could someone please advise me how to proceed.

Hi Best method ,

Better late than never answer

In the latest CRM is to focus on UIU component on the backend system asssigned to the test user you are using.

perform the user interface action and get the object trace using ST01 , to see which object its touching on the backend

once you get the trace for successful action, identify the role go to the UIU component

and i am sure you will see the component which allows this action ( remember to ask the CRM team to just perform just text field related action). you can change the value based on your need.

if you do not see the related UIU component its not possible to achieve what you need.
