SAP GTS with Intrastat/Extrastat?

Hello all,

I am currently looking into a new role as a GTS consultant but have been asked by the employer if I have worked within intrastat/extrastat legal requirements.

I am slightly confused as to what correlation this has with GTS and don't know if I would be able to do the role.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi,

For Intrastat the whole logic of gathering the data remains in the ERP. Also all of the customizing remains in the ERP. Then the gathered Data can be transmitted to GTS but its just for the Layot (GTS creates the file in to be sent to statistics authorities). Thants it. So the whole knowledge of Intrastats remains in the ERP.

P.S. Extrastats no longer exist, as most countries take the extrastats from the Export Declaration.

I believe what is meant is import/export and electronic compliance (Intrastat)
