SAP* default pasword not working

Hi,

I am trying to do a client copy to a new client. After creating the logical new client ie: ECPCLNT320, I am unable to log on to the new client with sap* and the password --> pass (lowercase). I was always able to do this before. I checked the profile parameter for sap* and it is set to login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 1. Please advise as this is very critical.

Hi

To activate the emergency user, you must set the login/no_automatic_user_sapstar profile parameter to the value 0. Once the jobs is over you can set back to 1 if required.

Do i set this in the default profile? I didn't see it there, so i added that parameter.

You can set it in DEFAULT or INSTANCE profile..

You have to add this parameter which is not present by default...

Set the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 and restart the SAP system. After that you must be able to login with user SAP* and password -> pass.

The value 1 deactivates the SAP* user.

Hi,

Set the parameter as below :

login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0

Value should be "0"

Restart SAP and try to login..
