Monitor Availability of J2ee(Netweaver portal) on Solution manager EHP1

Hi friends,

Need Help to configure and monitoring he availablity of J2ee engine (Netweaver portal) on solution manager EHP1.

kindly share some help links and Sim files.

we have Netweaver portal 7.0 with SP level 20. and solution manager EHP1 SP level 5.

Hi Surian,

For J2ee availability monitoring you need to install first CCMSPING agent into EP system.

Then go to RZ21

Technical Infrastructure-->Availability monitoring-->Configure GRMS availability Monitoring

Here you need to define the SID, URL etc.

Before doing this make sure that CCMS ping agent is installed correctly and connected to SOLMAN.

Revert in case of any clarification.

Support Packages and Patches - Entry by Application Group" SAP NetWeaver" SAP NETWEAVER" SAP NETWEAVER 7.0" Entry by Component" Application Server Java

Here you will get CCMS agents .

You may need to change as per your OS .

Hi Friend,

i have configured the CCMS Agent on J2ee instance (Portal), have done the configuration of CCMS agent and registered successfully with CEN Solution manager(ABAP stack).

while trying to configure GRMG scenario, i tried to upload the com.sap.portal.heartbeat from visualadministrator of the j2ee instance. but strangely i got this error

Problem saving application in CCMS agent

Problems with CCMS agent. No GRMG Directory /usr/sap/tmp/grmg

assist me what to do next.

HI,

Make sure you have installed other agents as well(SAPCCMSR,sapccm4x etc ) , it JAVA as well as CEN system.

Additionally Here you can roam around

This directory should be created , if it is not there try to create it manually and then go ahead.
