Sales org and plants

Hi,

Can someone answer the below questions pointwise :-

1) Is it possible that while selling goods to a customer, the sales org belongs to let's say country France and the supplying plant belongs to a African country. I think this can happen in case of inter company sales , where selling sales org belongs to French company code and the african plant belongs to african company code. Is it right ?

2) also consider a scenario that a french sales org which is in country france sells material from an african plant. Can it be possible that the african plant be assigned to french sales org ? I mean we want this to look like only a normal sale and not a inter copmany sale.

regards

Hi Sapsd73,

These 2 scenario related to Inter company when each county plant is having there own company code.

If you want to maintain all these under single company code then it comes under normal sales.

If you want to consider other country as separate vendor which is not related to our company then it comes under third party.

You can design this business process as per client requirement.

You may revert if u have any query.

Hi,

1) Yes you are right in first point.

2) 1st let us see what is Std SAP definition for company code --> it is an independent accounting unit for a particular country. Follow the accounting law of that country.

Now see what you want, you want to create a plant in Africa, sales org in the France and you want to assign them to one company code. Now your company code follow which country accounting rules (France or Africa).....Think about it.

Hope it clears your doubt.
