message mapping

Hi Guys,

I have a scenario of IDOC to file.

The structure of idoc s as follows....

Source -

SRC

IDOC

Begin

->EDIDC_40

->EPOLE

Target Structure (TRG) fields F1,F2,F3

TRG

F1

F2

F3

Kindly suggest how i need to perform message mapping ? Shd i use any node functions to point src,idoc to TRG ?

What's the occurrence of TRG field? if it's 1..1 you don't need to map anything

Its 1:1 ....

Should I map target node (TRG) to [Source node and IDOC node. ] How does the mapping take care, IDOC2 should generate second target line in file ?

If I'm not wrong there will be only one IDOC per instance correct?

Then why you are saying IDOC2 should generate second target line in file ?

If the root(parent) node of the target is 1..1, then it becomes mandatory segment . You don't need to map anything, tell us the exact reqmt, probably it might help a bit to answer.
