CPU count

HI,

I have checked in our oracle parameter and found that cpu count is 1. Does it affect of our system performance since almost everyday dialog response time is more than 1000ms.

How many cpu count is recommended and is it if we increase to 2, it will improve the dialog response time.

Yes, this can affect the performance of the database.

Check note 651060 - FAQ: Oracle Parallel Execution regarding the settings for this parameter.

Maybe you need check your Z*** developed too. And Yes, you need add another/s cpu

hello,

If u increase the cpu, it doesnot mean ur dialoge response time will decrease. Because response time is depend upon various factor.

it depends upon

cpu time

network time,

gui time,

db time........

So u need to consider all those things.
