Hi,
in order to use this functionnality you must request special permission to SAP. In OSS you can request under component SD-BIL-RR. Once done, SAP will ask you to fill a form where you will explain your processes, BTE'S (user-exits) you plan to use... with the aim to check that you have read note 1172799 (where limitations are explained) and that you know what you want to do. Then they will tell you to apply note 835367 that will activate a user parameter RR_USER that you will assign with value A to the one who's going to customize your system. SAP will ask you some data of your system (version, last patch applied...) and give you back a list of SAP notes you must apply in order that your system will be able you work with revenue recognition (in my case more that 100).
Once applied the notes, done your customizing and performed your tests, SAP will ask you to open your system so that they can log in and check by themselves the results of your testings before allowing your to transport your transport orders to production system. SAP can take up to 4 weeks to check this.
This functionnality makes some standard processes work in a different way they were dessigned for and this is the reason that SAP wants control very well the use it.
So first of all, request this permission in OSS and follow strictly SAP instructions.
