Engeneering Change Management in DMS

Hi gurus

I read about using ECM in SAP Help Portal. I wanna know what is ECM used for in DMS. I heard that it tracks or records the changes in the objects such as DIR, Doc BOM, Material BOM...

I have several following questions:

- I did its configuration but I can't find out Tcode to show the change of DIR or Doc BOM. So SAP System can show the change in ECM ?

- When I add Change Number to DIR and I inactive Change Master Record, user can't change this DIR. By other hand when I release ECO, impossible to change document and I cannot process ECO. I mean DIR is locked by Change Number. Is that a main function of ECM ?

- I can view the changes of DIR in Enviroment => Display Change without addition Change Number. What can Change Number(ECM) do when I can track the changes without Change Number.

- Finally, I wanna set authorization of user in Approval ECR and Convertion ECO what object authorization I need use ?

The activation of these objects is done from PP module. Kindly take PP consultant help.
