SAP QM integration with SAP Project Systems (PS) module

Hi

Does anybody know the extent of QM integration with PS, we have to implement where production is done using PS module, can we carry initiate QM processes from PS as well.

Our client is in specialized machinery business and going to use Project Systems for production.

Please share as much you know.

Hi

The connection between the QM and other modules is the movement type and inspection type. No matter how the products are produced in PS, I think this will be posted through certain movement type, normally there is origin type in OMJJ for movement type in standard, and the origin can be assigned to a certain inspection type in customization (Standard system has already confirued it for the types mostly used.), then the inspection type can be maintained in material master, so that an inspection lot of QM will be created during posting.

Hi Chris,

We had a requirement where the Quality Audit had to be done before executing the project. We had linked the execution of the project with the quality audit by introducing a separate status for which the quality head had to put forward his approval before confirmation.

This was how we worked around to bring in the integration between QM and PS

Hi,

We had a similar requirement of carrying out inspection after project or during project, so what we did was:

- Created an audit via Audit Management Functionality.

- assigned project number / WBS as "Object Type" in the Audit.

- And then carried out the audit.

In standard SAP, there is no provision of carrying out inspection against Projects.

So we worked around with this option
