Early wathc report is missing material and only shows 2 page. can someone help me fix this please?

Hello Melissa,

Based on my understanding you are mentioning that only 2 pages of the EWA report is showing up and not all of the rest. If this is correct, please follow these steps to attempt to resolve your issue:

Refresh the service definitions on your Solution Manager system and once complete successfully, do the same on your satellite system which you are having the difficulties within the EWA reports.

Please note that there are 3 Steps in Refreshing the Service Definitions. Here they are:

1. Delete the Service Definition

2. Refresh the Service Definition

3. Regenerate the Service Definition

Note 727998 will outline all the steps required to have this happen. One this is completed, please generate an EWA report for the same problematic system manually to see if your issue has been resolved.

Hi Mark,

I just attempted to do the Service Definition Refresh as per your recommendation and by following note 727998 but i think i'm either doing something wrong or something is wrong with our system. when i do this the log shows errors??

module "/BDL/_DEFINITION_REFRESH_T " not found Error: System Fail destination NONE

any ideas on what is wrong here?

Hello Melissa,

Please follow these steps; however, ensure that you know exactly what you are modifying to revert back incase it does not work!

- Please log on your system with a user with high authorization (SAP_ALL) under client 000.

- Go to Transaction SE16

- Go to Table Name: /bdl/task_attr

- Enter Taskname: SERVICE_DEFINITION_REFRESH

- Enter Funcmod: /BDL/_DEFINITION_REFRESH_T

- Click on execute

- Go to CHANGE MODE

- Open the entry if it is found

- Rename Funcmod to: /BDL/_DEFINITION_REFRESH_TASK

- SAVE

Once you have done this, try to do the Service Definition Refresh again as per my first reply.

Hi Mark,

That fixed error I was getting when trying to refresh the service definitions. I managed to do the service definitions. Is there an easy way to make the early watch report? or do i have to wait for it to run automatically once it is time. please tell me.

Hello Melissa,

It's your choice to execute an EWA report instantly or to wait for the next one to be generated manually when you have it scheduled. To do this manually, please follow these steps:

- Go to Transaction DSWP

- Click on EarlyWatch Alert

- Click on Create

- Select the Service you want to create and click on create.

- Select a date and click on Confirm.

- You will get a session number. (Note This somewhere).

- Go to Transaction SDCCN.

- Click on create.

- Double click on REFRESH_SESSION

- In the Target RFC Destinations: Select the correct RFC

- Select Now and then click on Continue.

- You will get a Task number. (Note This somewhere).

- In the main window now you will see the Task Number you just created.

- You may refresh until the Session Number is filled in for the Task Number you had created.

- Once the Session Number is filled, highlight the line, from Edit Menu click on Start Now.

- This will start processing the report.

- Go back to Transaction DSWP - Operation - EarlyWatch.

- Click on the hourglass icon to the left of the EWA Report.

- Select Start Service Processing and click on OK.

- Once the Service Processing has completed you may view your EarlyWatch report.

Hi,

I am also having same issue for my java systems (only 10-12 pages) are generated .

Our Solman is SP22 and Managed java system is EHP1 SP5.

Can you please let me know how to solve this this ........
