Hi,
In how many formats an idoc can be imported in to imported objects eg:XML,XSD when going for XSLT Mapping.
what is the difference between these two.
can we also use the wsdl format from the data type as a source/target while mapping?
what is the difference?
Thanks,
Srinivasa
XML contains Message-structure + Data
XSD contains only Message-structure
A WSDL is generated only out of a Message/ Service Interface in SAP XI/ PI....not out od DT/ MT....DT/ MT produce only XSD which is used in Mappings

IDOCs should not be imported as an external definition, (Unless you need to try it) you should be importing it via the Imported Objects from the Src/Trg SAP system.
Well incase you have the XSD for the IDOC you can import it as an external definition.

Srini,
To make it more simple, IDOC's can be imported as XSD's (External Definition) , and no XML(if i'm not wrong)
You can't use WSDL out of Data type as source and target while doing XSLT mapping.
