Batch Management with QM

Hi,

I am using Inspection type 03 (QM for in-house production). And Batch Management is also activated for the material. Now the system is asking Batch Number assignment at the time of UD. But we need it to be at the GR for Production Order. Is there any setting or workaround for this scenario?

Are you in process order or production order?

Inspection type 03 is not stock relevant

For Inspection type 04 system will create batch during the order creation/release as per the production scheduling profile,you defined the automatic batch creation for order release or order creation ( CORY or OPKP). However, the automatic batch number assignment (Transaction OMCZ) is active else system will create batches during GR MB31 or CO11N.

means when you confirm a production or process order with automatic goods receipt.

So for 03 go batch number go Master Recipe (C202) of that Halb/Fert code.Now in Header Data screen go to Quality Management.Here check setting of Partial - Lot Assignment.Set it to 0 - Partial Lot not supported.Then check the result from new order. If you have routing then go to CA02 header level check the setting.

Dear Ramakanth,

In 03 Inspection type generally there is batch creating when production person releases the production order. At UD it should not ask for batch, lot is created as release of Prd order then the batch also should be generated at time of release.

Please note that 03 insp lot is never generated against GR against prod order, but it is generated when you release the order.

Contact your PP consultant and ask him to generate the same at release level, he has to change the settings at " production scheduling profile for batch management".

Go to CORW >> select the plant >> and for auto batch creation put option of " Auto batch creation at order release"
